Berry shawl
Berry shawl combines my endless inspiration of nature with my love for modern crochet. It wasn’t difficult to design it because all type of berries are in my Top 5 list of favourite fruits. I love that I can put them in almost every type of dish – my breakfast, desserts, drinks, salads, roast meat. Berries also are health bombs, packed with antioxidants. I can make a whole article for berries but let’s come back on my shawl.
The Berry shawl is with asymmetric shape and it’s a simple combination of double crochet section and delicate textured lace section for more elegance and coziness. It can be worn in a multitude of ways. Wrap it around your neck as scarf, wear it like a cowl or bandana, or just throw it over one shoulder to give a pop of colour.
The pattern is very easy to memorize but interesting enough to keep away the boredom. It’s written in US crochet terms and includes written instructions and pictures to show you the process step by step. There are explanations for the special stitches including a short video for the beginning double crochet .
Berry shawl pattern requires 656yds(600m), Sport weight, Category 2: Fine yarn and crochet hook G (4.0mm) and measures approximately 45” (114,5 cm) x 60” (153cm) x 41 ½” (105cm), depth 28 ½ (72cm), of course, it can be easily adjusted for bigger size.
It’s considered as INTERMEDIATE(3) skill level because of the shaping and the lace section but if you are advanced beginner and like to expand your crochet skills you can try it.
