Origami sweater
“Origami” is my first sweater design for this year. Actually I’ve started this project last year in collaboration with Rowan. The idea was about designing a lightweight sweater for Spring/Summer.
It was not difficult to be inspired by the Valley Tweed yarn we chose. It’s 100% wool yarn made in Yorkshire, the home of Rowan. Some people consider it as cold season yarn but I think is perfect for warm season garment when combined with lace elements and 3/4 sleeves. This yarn comes in 20 gorgeous colours and I found among both – winter and summer shades.
And all those tiny tweeds remind me so much of the petals of bloomed trees in Spring …
So here it is! An elegant sweater with relaxed fit and positive ease for better drape, featuring eyes-catching lace panel that reminds me of Japanese paper craft origami.
Pattern is written in US crochet terms and comes in sizes S/M, L/XL, XXL. Basic instructions for regular or longer sweater included.
